Culver-Stockton College Energy-efficient Grant will save the College $368,000 per Year! Culver-Stockton College has received a grant of $3.9 million for energy-efficient enhancements to be made on campus. The Reduce, Reuse, Reculver campaign implemented this 2013-2014 school year, has paved the way for this grant to even be possible.
The energy-efficient enhancements have already started taking place this spring semester. When students arrived back to campus from Christmas break maintenance crews had already begun to work. The maintenance crews installed sensor lights in Wood Hall and began to replace the lights in several buildings with more energy-efficient bulbs. Joe Liesen, Executive Director of Administrative Systems and Services, tells us that almost every building on campus is getting environmentally friendly upgrades. There will be some HVAC renovations in Henderson Hall, Carl Johann Memorial Library, and Shannon Hall.
