Featured in KMBZ’s Companies on the Move series, this Overland Park based Energy Services company identifies energy savings improvements and critical infrastructure improvements. It then works with its clients to pay for improvements over time from the energy savings.
For the University of Kansas, ESP delivered a comprehensive energy and facility improvement project that combined energy saving and deferred-maintenance projects campus-wide. Conservation projects included lighting, water conservation, energy management control enhancements and steam-system efficiency improvements.
To develop a project that would deliver high return on investment, ESP started with an analysis to determine if it could implement improvements that generate meaningful savings.
Since the company guarantees that the energy savings will cover the cost of the project or it pays the difference, it has a vested interest in making sure it delivers and that it will be able to measure and verify improvements to prove what it did actually worked.
